Wednesdays Words

Our store has a new blog, and today is Wednesdays Words… you can find it here www.digiscrapstation.com/blog. Come check it out, and if you follow today’s prompt, Nancy will send you a $5 coupon towards her products in the store! How fun is that!

I know the prompt is about fathers, but I want to tell you a story about three generations of men. My father-in-law was recently in the hospital for surgery. He was supposed to be out in a couple of days, but there were complications. He would have had to be restrained from pulling out tubes and drains, and to keep from getting out of bed, when he shouldn’t. Well, his sons (my husband and his brother) and our two oldest sons (aged 19 & 21) took turns and stayed with him around the clock for two weeks straight to stay in the room with him to help the nurses, and to keep him from being restrained. This was not something the hospital required or even asked them to do. They just took time away from their jobs and their lives to help make their father (grandfather)’s recovery a little more bearable.

We have always had a close family, but to see the dedication and love come from these three generations was very touching. Even the nurses were impressed and thankful! And I am happy to report that after being in the hospital for a month, he has been home for about six weeks, and is almost back to his old self again!! Now that I am back from vacation, I have all these wonderful colors swirling around in my head, just waiting to come out! I am working on another kit, and should have it done by the end of the week. New Product and Freebie

Sorry it has taken so long, but with the holiday and my little one's 6th birthday party, it has been crazy! Of course, proud mom has to show you my new layout of my youngest one before I go on to my new kit and a freebie for you. Here he is a couple of days ago, after he lost his first tooth. He was the cutest thing, he said it was the best thing that happened to him (because now the tooth fairy would come visit him).

The kit I used was Play Date Boy by Rene Bross, one of my favorite designers! The layout was also done for the ad challenge at Digiscrapstation.com. Now on to my newest kit, it is called Rhapsody, here is a preview...

Urban Attitude Freebie

Life gets in the way

I know I promised a little freebie for you today, but sometimes life just gets in the way! I was all set to finish it up after my little one’s tee ball game, but then there was this unfortunate mishap with a squirrel and the transformer, and I was without power for about 3 hours last night… everyone for two blocks around my house was without power. I spoke with more neighbors last night then I think I have in two months. When the power went off, everyone wandered out of their houses to see what was going on. I am going to try to get it finished up tonight!!
